Not only do we aim to be a homeschooler’s dream at our maker space, but key members of the Huntsville STEAM Works management team have years of experience homeschooling students of all ages, so our homeschooled students are especially near and dear to our hearts.
We are working hard to bring classes that homeschoolers want for their students with our new Course Catalog system. Once our course catalog is released, we’re asking you, members of the homeschooling community, to identify which of our offerings you want for your students. You choose the classes and times, you recruit the seed students, and you can earn heavily discounted or free class spots for your child if enrollment goals are reached. We have heard you in the homeschooling community, and we’re looking to broaden our age range offerings, but your participation is pivotal in our success! And with our brand new maker space with dedicated classroom space, we are able to serve the homeschool community better than ever! Check back soon for our pilot course catalog for programs for the Spring Semester, 2018.
In addition to classes, we also hope to bring additional STEAM-based extracurricular options to the homeschooling community that might otherwise only be available to students enrolled in schools. We already host our awesome in-house FIRST Lego League Team, and hope to expand into other programs for the 2018-2019 school year.
