Recap: Kicking off Huntsville STEAM Works With Microwave Dave

We want to thank everyone who came out to our recent Info Night at Lowe Mill on March 30th, it was great to talk with everyone who is interested in volunteering with our brewing non-profit.  We’ll soon have many opportunities for folks in Huntsville and across North Alabama to share their know-how we the community, and we can’t wait to get started in May and June of 2017 as we kick off things in our new space.

If you’re still interested in volunteering with Huntsville STEAM Works and wasn’t able to make it out, we invite you to join us on our Facebook Group, Friends of Huntsville STEAM Works.  As we move towards our Grand Opening, we’ll be in touch there and let you know ways we could use a hand!

Also as a way to amp things up with our initiative to mix in arts and fun with Huntsville STEAM Works, we hosted local Huntsville Blues legend Microwave Dave upstairs at Alchemy Lounge at Lowe Mill.

Dave did an awesome job mixing in his stories about Blues history with his great music, we had a fantastic time hanging out with him and enjoying some great drinks at Alchemy.  We wanted to use this event as a way to stress how important it is that the arts will be a big part of what we’ll be doing at Huntsville STEAM Works, as we want the underlying qualities of everything we do to include creativity and fun!

Thanks again to everyone who came out, we look forward to having lots of other great events like this in the future.  If you haven’t already, be sure to be a fan of us on Facebook where we’ll highlight much more like this that will be coming up in the future.
